HOW TO RECEIVE ANSWERS TO PRAYER

[[Joh 16:24]] KJV Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
In the above, Jesus is teaching us two very important principles of prayer. The first principle is that we are supposed to ask whatever we ask in prayer in His name. Our prayers must be channeled through the name of Jesus in order to have heaven’s attention. Glory to God!
The second principle is that, when we ask, we must receive. Any prayer said in the name of Jesus cannot fail. So after asking, we must receive what we asked. God’s assignment is to answer our prayer, but we have the responsibility to receive. You see, even though God answers our prayer, we’ll still have nothing unless we receive.
Also, the time to receive is when we ask. And how you receive, is by faith. That is how the men of old also received answers to their prayers. For example, when Jesus prayed for the blind, He told them that it was by their faith that they received their sight: “And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way” *(Matt 10:52). Notice that it was the blind man who received his sight.
Galatians 3:14 says “…we receive the promise…through faith” Glory! Faith is how we receive. Faith is acting out what you believe. So if you prayed for your healing for example, and you believe you are healed, you receive your healing by acting out what you believe: get out of the sick bed and walk like you’re healed! If you don’t first move by faith, you will not receive. Jesus said, “ask and receive.” So after you ask, receive! Unleash your faith, and you’ll see results. Glory to God!
Confession:
I receive answers to my prayer. I declare that all things are working together for my good right now. Hallelujah! I receive answers by faith in Jesus’ name. Glory!
