BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST
[[Act 2:4]] KJV And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak…as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The Holy Ghost is the greatest blessing of the believer. Without the Holy Ghost, life will have no beauty. He is the Person who brings beauty and colour into our lives. He lives in us, but when He fills us, we begin to move and function by His ability.
As a matter of fact, even though the Holy Ghost lives in us, we are able to function in His unction only when He fills us. To be filled with the Holy Ghost is different from receiving the Holy Ghost. In the New Testament, you find that even though the apostles had already received the Holy Ghost, from time to time, you read that they would be filled with the Holy Ghost.
To receive the Holy Ghost means to allow Him into your life, but to be filled means to be totally controlled and intoxicated by Him. When He fills you, He rules your mind. You become Spirit-driven. His strength and boldness become your strength and boldness. Glory! When this happens, you find yourself doing things that you couldn’t do in your own strength. It’s called the anointing. Hallelujah!
One of the ways to be filled with the Holy Ghost is by SPEAKING God’s word. In our opening text, you find that being filled with the Spirit connects with speaking. Ephesians 5:18,19 clarifies; “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves…” Train yourself to spend time speaking God’s word TO YOURSELF always. You’ll notice His supernatural strength, boldness, and confidence filling your heart. Hallelujah! You’ll to filled with the Spirit. Glory!
Confession:
I’m a success. I’m divinity in humanity. I’m the head and not the tail. All things work for my good. I’m full of life and strength. I’m filled with boldness! Glory to God! I can do all things. I produce excellent results in Jesus’ name.
