BREAKING FREE FROM THOSE WHO VEX THE SOUL WITH WORDS

[[Job 19:2]] KJV How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

Words are powerful. They define many things. What you say or what you hear influences your life. This explains why Jesus cautions us in Mark 4:24, “And he said unto them, Take heed WHAT ye hear…” In Luke 8:18 also, Jesus said, “Take heed therefore HOW ye hear…” So WHAT you hear and HOW you hear are critical.

In his affliction, Job’s friends kept judging him and kept making him feel that he had done something evil to merit the diabolic ordeal he was faced with. Job lamented; “How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?” Their words disassembled him. Be careful of folks who pretend to know you more than you do. Watch out for those who’ll try to break you with words.

There are those who take pleasure in making people feel bad about themselves. Such people always make you feel terrible anytime they are around you. They try to break you with their words. They only seem to see all the negative things in you. They never inspire. Surrounding yourself with such people will either keep you in your situation or make it worse.

Break free from those who vex the soul with words. Avoid those who demoralize you. Always inspire others. This position will attract people of such attitude to you. Deep calleth unto deep. Be an inspiration; this is how to attract similar people to you. Glory to God! See people the way God sees them and say only the things that God would say about them. Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Dear God, I thank you for your word today. I’m inspired, and I make a quality decision to be an inspiration to others. I see through your eyes and speak only what you would say about myself and others. I thank you, LORD. Glory!
