DIVINE SURVEILLANCE

[[Psa 34:15]] AKJV The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

In the above, the nature and character of Almighty God is brought to bear. This is not a promise: it’s who God is in reality. The psalmist rightly observed; “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.” God’s eyes are fixed on the righteous. His ears are also programmed to be absolutely opened to their cry.

It’s important to appreciate in the above that God is not promising the righteous to look after him or her. This is greater than a promise. This is a statement of fact: it’s a description of the nature, character, and operation of the eyes and ears of God. His eyes are designed to always be on the righteous. God is committed to watching over the righteous and hearing their prayer. Glory to God!

Righteous here is not necessarily those who do right. To be righteous means to be justified. It means to be declared not guilty by divine verdict. The righteous is the man whose sins are washed away and justified because he has believed on the substitutionary work of Christ on the cross for him. Hallelujah!

Once a man is made right with God through Christ, God’s eyes are now fixed on him. He is under 24hour heavenly surveillance. You come under maximum security and operate in total victory because God’s eyes are fastened on you. Glory to God! You also don’t have to worry about your prayers being answered because God’s ears are always opened to your cry. Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for reminding me of your love and goodness towards me through your word. My faith is stirred. I can not fear nor fret because I’m under your watch. Thank you, Jesus!
