DON’T FRET
[[Psa 91:9, 10]] KJV Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
*There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
We live in a world stricken and plagued with evil, frustrations, poverty, sicknesses, and diseases. The news is littered with reports of perilous atrocities every day. We hear of the current economic crisis and outbreak of diseases in various parts of the world. Fear and panic seem to grip the heart of God’s people.
Unfortunately, in such times, countless resort to the experts for answers. But the truth is that if the experts could help, the problem wouldn’t persist as we find today. Thank God for the experts, but our faith must be in God’s word. In the midst of all the perturbation and crisis, God’s people must be rest assured that they are well defended on every side.
Our opening text says, “Because…the LORD..is..Thy habitation (dwelling place).” In other words, because we live IN God, in Christ, “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” The BBE version says, “No evil will come on you, and no disease will come near your tent.” Glory to God!
No matter what’s happening around you, no evil will come on you, and no disease will come near your house. Your life is hid in Christ, in God *(Col 3:3). You are protected and well defended. No diseases shall touch your body. Believe God’s word and build your faith on it. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but God’s word abides forever. Dear friend, if you are IN CHRIST, don’t fret. Don’t panic. Don’t be moved by the news around you. You are protected on every side. Glory to God! And if you are not in Christ, get in the safe zone. Make Him your Lord today.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank you for your love towards me. My life is found in you. And I’m protected from the evil around me because my life is hidden in you. Thank you. I live from glory in Jesus’ name. I’m well protected.
