GOD EXPECTS YOUR THANKSGIVING

[[Luk 17:17]] KJV And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Jesus was met by ten leppers as He entered a certain village. They cried to Him that He may heal them. And Jesus said to them, “….Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed (Luk 17:14). Here are a few things to note:

The first is that the power of God is activated in our lives as we follow instructions from the word. Many times, these instructions may not be related to what we seek. But as we obey, we find that the power of God is released to turn things around in our lives. When the leppers wanted to be healed, Jesus asked them to go show themselves to the priest.

That was not what they wanted. Where was the relationship between cleansing the leppers and going to show their leprosy to the priest? But as they obeyed and went, they found that they were cleansed. You may be believing God for money or healing, etc, and God will ask you to go and win souls. The two are very unrelated, but you find that as you obey, financial doors are opened to you.

We must understand that the ministry has a bearing on every aspect of our lives. Our obedience to God’s leadings is connected to our success in life itself. The other thing to observe is that Jesus actually expected all the leppers to come back and give thanks for their healing. God delights in our testimony and thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a very important principle in our walk with God. Our thanksgiving is something God expects us to bring to Him. Like in the case of these leppers, Jesus didn’t ask them to come back and give thanks, but He expected them to do that. God expects you to come with your thanksgiving sacrifice to thank Him for the year. Your thanksgiving is His delight. Hallelujah. So prepare your praise and a sacrificial offering of thanksgiving, and return to give thanks to the LORD for all His goodness in your life. Glory to God!

Prayer:
Majestic King of glory. This morning, I lift up my praise to you, and I prepare my thanksgiving offering, I declare your praise that you are a good God and have been extremely good to me. Thank you for your love and kindness towards me through the year. I praise you with my very life in Jesus’ name.
