LIVE ABOVE FEAR OF MEN
[[Pro 21:1]] KJV The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
Our God is the God of all flesh. He is the God of the universe. Everyone and everything is subject to Him. Absolutely, nothing is outside the control and power of the sovereignty of God. He is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
Sometimes, we allow things and people to intimidate us because of their position or status. Many of God’s people live in fear; fear of what men can do. As a matter of fact, terrible and wicked men have done unimaginable things in several parts of the world and throughout history because of their authority or the power that was made available to them.
Wicked leaders use power to control negatively and destroy, but great leaders build up others. Sometimes, a wicked boss or a terrible leader who doesn’t like you can be a threat to you. But you must always know that your God is the God of the entire universe, and all flesh are under His power and control.
In our opening text, the scripture says that “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” In order words, God controls all men, including those under whose authority you serve who may not even like you. And this is why you must break free from fear of what man can do. David knew better, he contended; “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” *(Psa 118:6).
Live boldly every day in confidence of the fact that God is on your side and that God controls the heart of the king. God loves you and will not allow evil men to prevail against you. Refuse to fear what man can do. Your boss, landlord, lecturer, or whoever may be threatening you IS NOT God! Your God is bigger than anything. And above all, He’s on your side. YOU WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME! Fear no man! Keep faith alive!
Prayer:
Dear God, you are my Father and my God. And you are on my side. I walk in confidence of your presence and power with me. I declare that no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. And through your word and the Holy Ghost, I live above fear of men in Jesus’ name!
