LIVING YOUR PURPOSE
[[Col 1:27]] KJV To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Paul in the above refers to our oneness with God as a great mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations. This mystery he says is, Christ IN you. Christ now lives in you. The ransom has been paid by the blood of Christ to redeem us from the domination of sin. We have been reconciled to God and justified before Him so perfectly and completely that it is as though no sin had ever been committed.
This is why Jesus can now live in and through us. Now we have been made the very temple of the Holy Ghost and have become His body in action. IN Him we (now) LIVE, and MOVE, and have our being *(Act 17:28). Hallelujah! You are now the very Body of Christ *(1Co 12:27). We are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones *(Eph 5:30). This is the significance of the Christian faith. Our Lord can do nothing except through His body (you). He functions through you and me – we are Christ’s body.
This is biblical Christianity! Everything else is ritualistic, ceremonial. Christ lives in you. That gives purpose to our lives. We have been filled with the Holy Ghost for a reason -not just to warm the church pews and to be “spiritual,” but to go beyond the wall of the church and tell others about Jesus. The power of the Holy Ghost came to make us witnesses of Jesus. So live your purpose! Be His witness! Glory! Luke puts it this way.
[[Act 1:8]] KJV But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…
You have the Holy Ghost in you. You have received power. Now live out your purpose: be His witness. Led men to salvation. This is more than a religious obligation: this is PURPOSE! In this month of MEGA GATHERINGS, I see you gathering great multitudes to the LORD. Glory to God!
Prayer:
Lord set me on fire, let me be burning with the fire of evangelism. I receive great grace and boldness to share the gospel with all I come in contact with today. Help me bring them to the cross in Jesus’ name.
