PUTTING ON CHRIST
[[Rom 13:14]] KJV But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
In the above, we are admonished to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. ‘Put on’ here is in reference to the way anyone will wear or put on a uniform. We must be clothed with Christ. When we do, we’ll not make provision for the flesh to fulfil the lust thereof.
People who walk in the flesh fail to realize that they actually MAKE PROVISION for that. Sin cannot force its way into a man’s life. Those who fulfil all manner of lust of the flesh make provision for them. In order ways, it doesn’t just happen: every sin or wrongdoing is deliberate.
Notwithstanding, we can make it impossible for the flesh to have its way in us. And that’s by putting on Christ. You put on Christ by totally baptizing or immersing yourself into Christ. In other words, let Christ fill your heart, mind, thoughts, and life. You’ll discover that the flesh, carnality, and lust will have no space in you. Glory to God!
[[Gal 3:27]] KJV For as many of you as have been baptized (totally immersed) into Christ have put on Christ.
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank you for your word today. I put on Christ and ask that through the Holy Ghost, you’ll totally saturate me with Christ, filling my heart, mind, and thoughts daily with Christ in Jesus’ name.
