STAYING WITH YOUR DIVINE ASSIGNMENT

[[Heb 10:38]] KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

God does not take pleasure in folk who are not consistent. The above says, “If any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Starting something and drawing back from it displeases God in His inner most part. This is why the next verse declares, “But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul” *(Heb 10:39).

We are not of them who draw back unto destruction. This suggests that there are those who draw back. Such people embark on things for the kingdom only to quit. They lack the fortitude to stand. They put their hand to the plough and look back.

Luke 9:62 says, “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” You must learn to cultivate the art of staying committed to a cause. Refuse anything that will make you generate excuses. Live above challenges.

Every assignment from God will have challenges. The devil will also make you see reasons to give excuses. There’ll be things that will come up to make you put God’s assignment on hold. All these are to make you draw back. But you must refuse to quit.

We are not of them that draw back. Drawing back leads to perdition. Drawing back does not bring pleasure to God. And when you put your hand to the plough and look back, you disqualify yourself as a disciple. God, through His word, is challenging you today to build stamina and prevail against all odds. I see you fulfil God’s assignment for yourself in Jesus’ name.

Prayer:
Dear God, I thank you for your word. I make a quality decision to stick and stay with my divine assignment. I overcome everything that will stand in the way of the assignment in Jesus’ name.
