STICKING TO KINGDOM CULTURE

[[2Th 2:15]] KJV Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

In the above, Paul the apostle challenges us to stand fast and hold on to the traditions we receive from the word. You see, the word of God gives us a mentality and culture – a way of doing things and living. We must, therefore, hold on to these kingdom cultures.

Anytime God’s word is ministered to us, God through the Holy Ghost challenges ua, and a mindset is given us. This mentality is supposed to transform us. In Romans 12:2, Paul contends that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Proverbs make it clear that what we think is who we become (Prov 23:7). Simply put, THE MIND MAKES THE MAN.

We, however, have the responsibility of holding on to this mindset and tradition without allowing other things to crumble them. The key word is standfast or hold on: it’s called stickability – the ability to stick to a decision.

When God’s word comes to us, faith comes alive in us. We are convicted by the Holy Ghost. And we make decisions. But not long, the world and its presures and lust try to force us to compromise. This is where we must stand.

Be careful of friends, things, and people Satan will use to paralize the word that comes to you. You need the wisdom and courage to disengage from the wrong persons and things that so easily make you break and compromise kingdom culture and traditions. This will cause you something, but it’s the price to pay. And we must be willing to make sacrifices. Jesus gave His life, the disciples were murdered. Many missionaries propagated the gospel at the expense of their comfort. What are you willing to let go in order to please the Father? Heaven is watching. Make the Father proud.

Prayer:
Father, your word is a light to guide my path. I receive your word today, and I make a quality decision to stick to kingdom culture without compromise. I disengage from the wrong associations and hold fast to the traditions and mindset I receive from the word in Jesus’ name.
