STOP THEM BEFORE THEY STOP YOU

[[2Th 3:6]] KJV Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Life is usually full of ‘Hellos’ and ‘Good byes.’ People walk into ourlives and some walk out. But the truth is that anyone that comes into our life one way or the other influence us.

No relationship is meaningless: you are either influencing or being influenced. Our association determines alot of things. The people you hung around with will determine how high you go in life and your walk with God.

In Genesis 12 to chapter 13, we see that God never spoke with Abraham over two decades because he walked with Lot. On the day he disengaged from Lot however, God spoke to Abraham and made him the inheritor of the world (Gen 13:14). Some people in your life could be the reason why God’s voice is muted in your life

In our opening, Paul admonished us to “withdraw ourselves from brethren” whose lives are disorderly, contradicting our tradition (our manner of life) in the LORD. You need the boldness to disassociate from the poeple that draw you back in your walk with God.

Notice that Paul actually COMMANDED us to withdraw from disorderly folks. Disengaging from wrong people is NOT a suggestion: it’s a COMMAND!

Hung around those that challenge you to reach higher hights in God. You either withdraw yourself from the wrong folks or they’ll draw you away from the power and presence of God. And by the time you realize, something of eternal benefit has left you. You must be bold. You must make up your mind. Stop them before they stop you.

Prayer:
Father I thank you for your word. I receive wisdom today. I receive the boldness to disassociate from the wrong company. I make that quality decision today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
