THE ANOINTER AND BOLDNESS
[[Act 14:10]] KJV Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
Paul preaching at Lystra encountered a man impotent in his feet from the mother’s womb. The writer of Acts described him as “…a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked. *(Act 14:8). Note that this man in question had never used his legs since birth. That suggests that his legs were almost boneless and twisted. Paul, however, preaching said to this man with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!”
Paul had boldness and courage. That is what is lacking in many of God’s people today. It’s one thing to be anointed and another thing altogether to be courageous. The anointing for the miraculous is unleashed when we walk in courage. Great men who walk in signs and wonders are men of courage. Jesus, for example, looked at a dead girl and said to the parents that she was not dead. What audacity? What boldness? What courage?
Can you look at a man twisted and crippled in the legs, and still have the courage and boldness like Paul to say, “Stand upright!” Can you look at a blind man and say to him before others that your eyes are going to see now? You see, this is the kind of courage we must have if we are going to see more miracles in our ministry.
Many are anointed, but very few are courageous. Today, may boldness and courage rise strong in your heart through God’s word. May you begin to walk in great boldness. This is what the apostles of old had. Act 4:31 says, “…they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Hallelujah! Receive that boldness today. Glory to God! You’ll see more than a miracle. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Dear God, I thank you for your word. I receive great boldness and courage in my walk with you. I speak forth your word boldly. I courageously confront situations and boldly release the anointing to create changes in Jesus’ name. Glory!
