THE BLESSING OF LOYALTY
[[Pro 28:20]] KJV A faithful man shall abound with blessingsā¦
Loyalty is defined by the dictionary as fidelity, faithfulness, or devotion to some person, cause, or nation. To be loyal means to be faithful and worthy of trust. This quality is a requirement for any child of God who will excel in the things of God. 1Co 4:2 makes it clear; “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” God cannot entrust a disloyal person with kingdom resources and mysteries. How far you can advance in the things of God, and your spiritual authority will always be measured by the strength of your loyalty. Commitment and consistency are key here.
Unfortunately, we live in a generation where loyalty is a rare virtue. Many don’t have it. Countless can’t be committed to or consistent with their assignment. Now people switch churches like sim cards in a mobile phone. Many cannot stay loyal and faithful, serving their leader, pastor, or another man’s vision. Everyone wants to be his or her own boss.
The foundation of homes, marriages, and relevant relationships has been wrecked because of the absence of loyalty and faithfulness. This explains the multiplication of pain, hatred, and bitterness in our world today. Our opening text is clear about the fact that a faithful man shall abound in blessings. Loyalty pays off big in the long term.
Faithfulness and loyalty is a discipline. It doesn’t come naturally; you decide to be loyal. It’s a choice. You don’t fast and pray about it; you choose to walk in it. Many times, the leader you serve may have his or her own challenges, but a faithful person will stay to make things work. Young’s Translation puts it like this; “A stedfast man hath multiplied blessings⦔ Cultivate the art of loyalty. Be faithful to the leader you serve, to your spouse, to your friends, to your subordinates, and above all to God. Multiplied blessings await the faithful man.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, your word is true. I receive and embrace it. I choose the path of loyalty. I make a quality decision today to stay loyal to my assignment and the people in my life. Thank you, Lord.
Glory!
I choose to be loyal
I cultivate the discipline to support the vision of another.
Multiple blessings await me in JESUS NAME.
Thank you Pastor
