THE ENIGMA OF SUPERNATURAL ABUNDANCE

[[Gen 22:12]] KJV And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

The LORD instructed Abraham to offer his only son to Him. This instruction tells us two important things about God. 1. God asked Abraham to offer his ONLY son not because He wanted human sacrifice (because He didn’t allow Abraham to touch Isaac anyway) but because Isaac was very dear to Abraham. God will require from us what is very precious to us. The reason is that He wants to give us something far better.

  1. God sometimes will ask you to give Him a specific offering. God requested Abraham’s only son, whom he loves most. You, too, God will require some specific offering from you. But note that what leaves your hand to God does not leave your life. God gives it back to you in greater measures.

Abraham gave an Issac, and God gave him a multidute of sons. God said, “…By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou …hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” (Gen 22:16-18).

Think about it! Trusting God with your seed brings you into supernatural abundance. God’s blessings are tied to instructions. If you obey His voice and plant the seed He tells you to, you can be assured of the blessings. Trust Him!

Prayer:
Dear LORD, I thank you for showing me the secret of abundance through your word. I joyfully give what you require of me. I refuse to hold back. I give cheerfully in Jesus’s name.
