THE LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING

[[Pro 26:27]] KJV Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

Someone said, “We live in a universe governed by timeless laws and principles.” This is so true. And whether you know them or not, they impact you. There’s a law called ‘Sowing and Reaping.”’ This law ensures that we get back in larger quantities, the things that we do. Paul affirms this in his epistle;

[[Gal 6:7]] KJV Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

You can’t sow one thing and reap another. 2Co 9:6 says, “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” In our main text, the Bible makes it clear that “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”

Everything we do; our imaginations, thoughts, words, actions, etc, are all seeds we are sowing every day. This is why you don’t even have to think about your enemies. Whatever they plan against you will get back to them. Pro 22:8 puts it this way, “He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.” So instead of focusing on your enemies, rather aim at sowing good seeds into the lives of others. Look out for opportunities to help someone in one way or another. Begin your week sowing good seeds in others.

Take it upon yourself to do good to someone. Forgive those who have wronged you. Provide some aid or any form of assistance to someone who needs it. These are timeless seeds that will doubtlessly yield great harvests back to you. Remember that everything you do in life is a seed. So refrain from the wrong and do right. It’ll come looking for you in greater measures.

Prayer:
Father, I love you today like never before. You are the life that beats beneath my chest. I see and embrace opportunities in others today to demonstrate your love and kindness to others. I live out your love, blessing, and touching lives through gestures of love in Jesus’ name.
