THE MERCY OF GOD

[[Rom 9:16]] KJV So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Mercy is a very powerful blessing God lavishes upon us from time to time. The mercy of God activates God’s favor in our lives, and favor makes the difference. In Psalm 102:13, the scripture declares, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” We see here that the mercy of God invoked His favor upon Zion.

Mercy from the Greek, ‘eleeo‘ means TO BRING HELP TO THE WRETCHED. Mercy speaks of having compassion upon someone who is helpless and moving to aid him or her. You see, every now and then, things try to render us powerless and helpless. But we cannot be disadvantaged because this position make us candidates for God’s mercy.

As a child of God, anytime you find yourself in a helpless situation, mercy activates to your advantage. Glory to God! Heaven moves in your direction with aid. This explains why our opening text says “it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runeth, but God that showeth mercy.” Hallelujah! It has nothing to do with skills and swiftness: the mercy of God puts us over! Glory!

Today is your day of mercy! Mercy will pardon all your weaknesses and ignite favor on you. The mercy of God is on you. Expect the unusual. Get ready as God begins to break protocols and bring you promotion! Mercy! Glory! It’s working! You cannot be disadvantaged!

Confession:
God’s mercy is on me. I cannot be disadvantaged. All things are working together for my good. I’m marked for exploits. Glory to God. Mercy is messing every mess around me today in Jesus’ name! Hallelujah!
