THE THREE FACTS OF REGENERATION

*[[John 3:8 NLT]] *The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.

In the above are the very words of Jesus Himself describing those who are born of the Spirit. Prior to this, Jesus had explained that not until a man is born again by the Spirit, he can not enter the kingdom of God *(John 3:5). This helps us know that to be born of the Spirit means to be born again. And Jesus elucidated that those born of the Spirit, or better still, born again are like the wind.

Jesus compares the born again to three characteristics of the wind. 1. THE WIND BLOWS WHERE IT WANTS. You do not determine the path of the wind. You cannot crab the wind. In the same vein, the believer can not be limited, quarantined, or restricted by situations and circumstances. As a child of God, always bear in mind that no matter what circumstances you find yourself in, you’ll always ultimately prevail.

  1. YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF THE WIND. The wind is not silent. It has a sound. Like the wind, they’ll hear your sound. They’ll hear the sound of your victory, and they’ll hear the sound of your celebration and elevation. Glory to God! And 3. YOU CANNOT TELL WHERE THE WIND COMES FROM OR WHERE IT’S GOING.

The wind cannot be predicted. You cannot tell where it’ll be coming from or where it’ll be going to, but you’ll sure feel its impact. I feel like announcing to you that you are about to shock onlookers. The greatest mistake anyone will make about you is to try to calculate or predict your future. Hallelujah! You are a windy wonder to your world. No wonder Isaiah boldly declared; “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders…” *(Isa 8:18).

As you step out today, bear in your mind that a wind has stepped out. Glory! You are going to amuse your world. You’re a puzzle to perils. You are a bundle of surprise to your enemies, and God is going to do great things with you today. Hallelujah!

Confession:
I’m for signs and wonders. I’m a puzzle to perils. I cannot be limited or restricted. I can do all things through Christ. I live in daily victories in Jesus’ name. Glory to God!
