VOICING YOUR PRAISES IN PERILS

[[Act 16:25]] KJV And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

Paul, in the midst of preaching the gospel, was arrested, beaten, and imprisoned. You see, as we try to advance the things of God, oppositions come up against us. You don’t only have to do wrong things for people to do you evil. Sometimes, good people suffer evil just for being good. But evil can never triumph over good.

There are two important lessons to be leant from Paul’s experience. While in prison, at midnight, Paul and Silas sang praises to the Lord. Someone said the midnight is the darkest hour. In other words, in the heat of their challenge, instead of complaining and being anxious, they sang songs about their faith to God.

In the midst of crises, we must elevate Christ. You must not allow the devil to rob you of your praises to God. Be bold about your faith. Sing out the stress. And don’t let anything keep you under. Glory to God!

The next thing is that the Bible says, as Paul and Silas sang, “the prisoners heard them.” Many times, believers confess their faith in hiding. We must be bold about what we believe. Others must hear you. Don’t feel shy if you look ridiculous. Voice out your praises. Speak forth your praises to God and confess your healing even if it makes you look funny. When you praise Him in spite of your circumstances, like Paul, He’ll shake the very foundation of what seems to imprison you. I see you coming out. Keep faith alive!

Confession:
Dear Lord, I love and adore you today. You’ve made me a success. I’m a victor. I live from victory. All things work together for my good. I win all the time. My life is a success story. I praise you, my King. Glory! I’m a success!
