WAITING FOR GOD
[[Job 14:14]] KJV …all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
We live in a ‘fast track’ world. Everything is fast. What used to take hours now takes just a few minutes to be done. Things are getting very swifter through technology. Our cars, aeroplanes, trains, etc, are now faster and more advanced than a few years back. Even our food is fast food. Nobody wants to wait behind.
Unfortunately, we’ve carried over this attitude into the things of God. Many can’t wait anymore. Things must be done quickly. Now we want quick fixes. Miracles must be faster, and appointments must come swiftly and according to our time. But God does not work with our time. God has His own time. And He makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecc 3:11). Glory to God!
This is why waiting is important. When you are waiting for God, you can not be last. Many times, believers think that they may lose somethings because they’ve waited too long. On the contrary, those that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength (Isa 40:31). When we wait enough, change will come. God’s plan for you is better than your plan, but it’s accomplished according to His time, so you must learn to be patient.
Moses waited for years before he became the deliverer. David waited in the cave of Abdulum. Daniel waited in captivity. Abraham waited for close to sixty years to have the promise. Jesus waited for thirty years. You must wait. Waiting is the proof of faith. People of faith don’t rush because they believe. Haste is the absence of faith. Isaiah 28:16 says, “…he that believeth shall not make haste.” Just wait for God’s timing. Change is coming! Glory!
Prayer:
Father, I adore you today. I believe your word, and I wait on you. My trust is in you, and I patiently wait for you according to your time. I believe. I make no haste. I live for you alone. Hallelujah!
