WALKING IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE
[[Rom 6:4]] KJV …that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father. The Holy Ghost is the glory of the Father because He is the Spirit of Him that raised up Christ from the dead, who also quickens our mortal bodies (Rom 8:11).
In the above, we discover that, ‘like as (in the same way) Christ was raised from the dead,’ we also walk in newness of like. The question now is, how was Christ raised from the dead? First, the old Christ had to die on the cross, and a new Christ was raised from the tomb. In the same way, your old self died, and now you are a new man in Christ.
Secondly, when He arose, He still had the nail print on His body. In the same way, the fact that you may have prints of your old life on you don’t mean you do not have a new life. Like Jesus, they are actually the proof that you had an old life, and you are actually made anew.
Finally, Jesus had a human life but was raised with a resurrected life. In the same way, the life you live now is a resurrected life just like Jesus. It’s a life of victory over death and devils. Hallelujah! As He is, so are you now in Him. Glory to God! So walk in this new life.
Confession:
Thank you LORD for dying and rising again for me. I live in you. Your resurrected life is my life. I have a new life in you, superior to death and devils. I walk in victories everyday in Jesus’ name.
