WHO CAN SAY GOD IS GOOD?
[[Nah 1:7]] KJV The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
God is a good God. This is not a statement that can be made by just anybody. You need to experience God before you can make such statements. David for example said, “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him” (PSA 34:8). He had to taste and see before he could say that the LORD is good.
This is why some people find is hard to understand God’s goodness. They don’t get it when we testify of God’s goodness. There are those who even thing Christians are believing in the unreality. They have not encountered the Lord yet. Notwithstanding, when one tastes of the kindness of God, he can only say that God is good. Hallelujah!
Our main text added that the LORD is “a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” This is why we can’t fret or be dismayed. The Lord is a strong hold. He is our hiding place. He holds us strong. You will not be removed from His grip. Jesus said no man can pluck us our of God’s hand. Glory to God!
God knows them that trust in Him. God knows you. You are not reading this devotional by chance. Destiny is involved in your ability to come by this devotional. God wanted you to know these truths. God knows you. He’s aware of your situation. And He is good. Don’t fret. You are in safe hands. Your good God is coming through for you. Only believe!
Prayer:
Father I thank you for your word. Every fear is departed from me. I trust you. I absolutely believe in you. You are my strong hold. You know me. I’m known by you. All things work for my good. Thank you Jesus! I love you Lord.
