CREATING REVIVALS

[[Mic 1:3]] KJV For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

Revival is when God comes down to visit a people. When Habakuk prayed for revival, the Bible says “God came down from Teman…” *(Hab 3:3). Revival does not bring God down; God rather comes down and then revival begins. So revival actually begins with God. If God doesn’t come down, there can be no revival.

In Habkuk 3:2 the prophet prayed, “O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.” This is a passionate prayer to see God move in an extra ordinary way. And in response to that prayer, God came down: a revival was birthed. Hallelujah! But the truth is that, the hunger in Habakuk’s heart that ignited the prayer was put there by God.

God begins a revival, comes down to create the revival, and sustains the revival. It’s all about Him. In order words, to create a revival, you must ask God to ignite the fire first in your heart. The fire and hunger will lead to fervent prayer, and the prayer will make God come down.

The good news is that, for the believer, revival is a lifestyle. You don’t need God to come down if you are born again: God already has come to live in you. Now what you have to do is to stir up God’s abiding presence in you by speaking in other tongues. As you do, the presence of God descends upon the situations around you and revival begins. Hallelujah! You can have revival in you living room or even in your car. When God’s presence comes down, victory is granted. Glory! Today, God’s presence will come down upon the circumstances around you and grant you victories as you stir it up by speaking in other tongues. Walk in victories in Jesus’ name.

Prayer:
Dear God I thank you for your abiding presence in me. Your presence fills my heart and life. Every situation around me bows to your overwhelming presence in me in Jesus’ name. Glory!
