BOILING SPIRIT
[[Rom 12:11]] KJV Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
In the above, we are admonished to be fervent in spirit. Our service to God must be with spiritual fervor. To be fervent from the Greek translation actually denotes boiling at boiling point. It means “to be hot, to be boiling, to glow, and (metaphorically), to be zealous.
We must service God with zeal. Our service must be saturated with enthusiasm and spiritual heat. We must be hot in spirit. Demons and devils from hell must not be able to stand us.
Sad enough, countless of God’s people are almost always falling prey to the devil. They do not keep their spiritual fire aglow. You must be burning so much with supernatural power and fire that demons and sicknesses see you and advice themselves.
The time has come for God’s people to dislodge the devil and enter their rest. These are the days of His power and His people must be willing *(Ps 110:3). Zeal and passion for God and His work must consume us. Our neighbors and friends must feel our spiritual heat. We must affect anything that comes into contact with us. Hallelujah!
This spiritual fervor and vigor is attained through prayer and consecration. We must also be passionate and zealous. Spend more time in prayer especially in the spirit. And always look out for opportunities to serve God with zeal. Attach passion and zeal to things like evangelism. This is what excites the deepest parts of El-shadi.
God is calling us to passionate service and spiritual fervor. Your fire must not go out. May the zeal of the Lord eat you up. May your prayer life move to the next level. May your ministry be littered with miracles and supernatural happenings. Be fervent in spirit, serving the LORD!
Prayer:
Father I thank you for your word today. I ask in Jesus’ name that you ignite holy fire in me. Consume with with your will and purpose. Let me be burning with passion and zeal only for you. Light the fire for soul wining in me to touch and impart my world in Jesus’ name. Amen!
