THE THREE FACTS OF PRAYER
[[Luk 18:1]] KJV And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Jesus told a parable to illustrate that a man ought always to pray and not faint. That was what He wanted to teach via the parable. Three things Jesus is teaching us here is that 1. A man ought to pray. Prayer is an ought – obligation. You must pray.
Prayer must not depend on your feelings. You ought to pray. The next thing Jesus teaches in the above is that prayer is an “always’ things. There is no special time to pray. Every time is prayer time. Don’t wait for problems before you pray. Prayer must be all the time.
Then the third thing is that we must not faint in prayer. This shows us that there is the tendency to faint, get tired, and quit. Prayer will not come easy. Pray is labour. The bible talks about labouring in prayer (Col 4:12).
Prayer is difficult because your fresh will fight it. You will not feel like praying. You will be too busy to pray. These are things you must fight off if you are going to pray. Prayer is labour and you must not faint. In this season, may the prayer anointing rest on you, and be fired-up to pray.
Prayer:
Thank you Father for your word today. I receive the grace and ability to continue in prayer. I resist anything that seeks to impede my prayer life. I declare that I’m quicken by the Spirit for prayer in Jesus’ name
