WIN THE WAR
[[Act 13:8]] KJV But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
When Paul and Barnabas went to the island of Paphos, the deputy, Sergius Paulus, desired to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Soul wining is war because devils seek to impede it using human agents.
Anytime people desire to hear the word of God from you, that desire was put in their hearts by God. It’s a sign that God want them saved. Anything that seeks to turn such people away from hearing the gospel is used by the devil to hinder you. It may be their friends, parents, or spouse, but you must be spiritual to see the devil working behind the scene.
When Elymas withstood them, Paul, filled with the Spirit said, ‘O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?’ (Act 13:9-10). Paul dealt with the issue spiritually.
Soul wining is war. We must approach it spiritually. Pull down strongholds through prayer. Destroy every attempt of the enemy to resist your prospective soul from being saved. Remember that you are greater than the enemy. But if you don’t use your authority, he may sway away your soul. I see you walk in power and authority from today in Jesus’ name.
Prayer:
Dear LORD thank you for granting me understanding through your word. I declare that no devil shall be able to withstand any soul that I seek to win. I walk in the power of the Spirit, and I win in Jesus’ name always. Glory!
