THE CONCESSION OF CHALLENGES
[[Act 18:6]] KJV And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
Paul became the greatest Apostle to the Gentiles with the gospel of the LORD Jesus but not without a challenge. Prior to Paul, the gospel was preached only to the Jews. God however used the Apostle Paul to open the door to the Gentiles and now the gospel is in every nation under heaven. But this did not happen easily.
In Acts 18:5, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. But they opposed themselves and blasphemed. This moved Paul to rent his raiment, and decided not to preach to the Jews anymore but go to the Gentiles.
Paul was pressed in his spirit but preach to the Jews but that leading of the Spirit was faced with great opposition. When God leads you, things will not be smooth. When God is involved, usually, there will be great difficulties. But these troubles is what gives divine direction.
Without the opposition of the Jews, Paul wouldn’t have seen the need to go to the Gentiles. The difficulties you face in following the lead of the Spirit is a pointer to God’s bigger plan. Don’t look for what is easy. Follow God’s plan. It will come with challenges, but it will ultimately bring you into the blessing. I see victories for you. Only believe.
Prayer:
Father I thank you for your word. Thank you for leading me by your Spirit. I receive the wisdom and grace to endure every challenge that comes with following your lead, and I walk in victories in Jesus’ name
