THE EFFECT OF ASSOCIATIONS
[[Rev 18:4]] KJV And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
In the above, the great Babylon, the satanic synthesized order of the world is about to receive God’s judgment. And God warned His people saying, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not her plagues.”
This is very important for our learning. It’s crucial to appreciate the fact that being in the wrong company can have devastating consequences. The bible say, “Do not be tricked by false words: evil company does damage to good behaviour” *(1Co 15:33 BBE). Your association defines your situations. This is why everybody cannot be your friend.
As a child of God, you are to live peacefully with all men, notwithstanding, not all men must have full access to you. Train yourself to choose your friends, and not make your friends choose you. The troubles many suffer today isn’t demonic; it’s just association.
Lot was blessed because of his association with Abraham. He was destroyed because he went to Sodom. Naomi was reduced to nothing because she went to Moab. Ruth’s story changed because of her connection with Boaz. Samson’s life was cut short because of Delilah. Joshua was full of wisdom because of Moses. The people around you make or mar your life. Solomon rightly observed:
[[Pro 13:20]] KJV He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Prayer:
Dear Lord I thank you for opening my eye and guiding me through your word to make choices that will improve and transform my destiny. I receive the grace to court the relevant relationships, and the boldness to walk out of the wrong ones in Jesus’ name.
