YOU ARE NEAR
[[Eph 2:13]] KJV But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
The above scripture is one of the most inspiring revelations to be unveiled about the believer in Christ. Paul emphasized that “Now in Christ… we are made nigh (to God) by the blood of Christ.” The blood of Christ not only cleanse our sins but also bridged the gap between us and God. Now we are united together with God.
The blood of Jesus cleansed us of all sins in the past, present, and future. His death removed sin. Jesus is the lamb of God that takes away our sins *(John 1:29). Now our sins have been taken away. The thing that separated us from God is done away in Christ. This is why the Old Testament’s rituals of sin offerings are no more necessary. Hebrews 10:18 puts it like this, “Now where remission (removal) of these (sin) is, there is no more offering for sin.” It added; “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. *By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. *(Heb 10:19,20).
Glory to God. Through the blood of Jesus, we have access to God by a new and living way. Hallelujah! This is why you must have boldness to stand before God every day, knowing that there’s nothing that stands between you and Him. Glory! This explains why Hebrews 10:22 declares, “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
The problem is not sin but your consciousness of evil. Our heart must sprinkled from evil conscience. Stop being conscious of the sins and weakness in and around you, and focus on the work of Christ in you. Know that all your sins have been removed, including the one you just committed. And come boldly before your Maker. He longs to have you. Glory to God! You are not far. Your sins and mistakes have not disengaged you from God. You are near because of the Blood of Jesus! Hallelujah!
Prayer:
My Precious Father, I thank you for the blood of Jesus and for uniting me with you in your presence. Now I live in your presence, and there’s nothing that stands between us. I thank you for the boldness to stand before you today, knowing that I’m without sins, faults, or any blemish in your eyes. Thank you, Jesus.
