THE NEED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL
[[Job 18:21]] KJV Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
In Job chapter 18, an endless list of pain, torture, frustration and evil are enlisted as the portion of the wicked. For example, the verse 18 said concerning the wicked that, “He is sent away from the light into the dark; he is forced out of the world” *(Job 18:18-BBE). “Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.”
The last phrase catches my attention, “this is the place for him that knows not God.” Many times, we fail to think about the plight of the man that doesn’t know God. Paul described such a man as one that is “…separated (living apart) from Christ [excluded from all part in Him], utterly estranged and outlawed from the rights…, and strangers with no share in the sacred compacts of the [Messianic] promise [with no knowledge of or right in God’s agreements, His covenants]. And…no hope (no promise);…in the world without God” *(Eph 2:12-AMP).
Just imagine for a moment what life would be for a man estranged and cut off from Christ and all His blessings, without knowledge of God, without hope, and without God? Life will be a daily manifestation of horror and pain. Unfortunately, most of our family and friends belong to this category. This is why we must preach the gospel.
Preaching the gospel is not for some special few people in the church. We are all called to preach the gospel and reach our world. Today, look out for opportunities to share God’s word with others. Allow God to use you to save a soul. Don’t just be a believer; be a soul winner. Snatch lives from the grip of hell through the preaching of the gospel. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Father I thank you for the opportunity given me to partake in your plan to save mankind. I receive the grace to share the gospel with others, bring joy to you and countless to salvation in Jesus’ name.
