THE TRIUMPHS OF THANKSGIVING

[[Psa 69:30]] KJV I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

God called David ‘a man after my heart.’ David mastered the art of praising the LORD. He knew how to praise God in a way that moves God. This is important because the sons of Korah teaches us that ‘God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding’ (Psa 47:7).

In the above, David tells us to praise the LORD with a song. Singing songs with understanding is a powerful way to praise God. The LORD delights in this type of praise. He inhabits this kind of praise (Ps 22:3). When we make time to praise the LORD especially with singing, God just comes to enjoy it.

Our thanksgiving however mangifies the LORD. To magnify, from the Hebrew, ‘gabal’ means to make great, large, and powerful. Through our thanksgiving, we make God greater than every situation and circumstance we find ourselves in.

Your challenges can become small and fizzle away when you make God powerful through your thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a very powerful thing. It’s not just an event. It’s a supernatural way of making God bigger and larger in ourlives. Take your thanksgiving very seriously. The LORD delights in it greatly.

Prayer:
Father, I praise you and thank you for your love and goodness in my life. I magnify you with my thanksgiving. You’re bigger and greater than all things. I adore you today.
