STRENGTH AND COURAGEOUS

[[Jos 1:9]] KJV Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Courage the quality of a confident character not to be afraid or intimidated easily but without being incautious or inconsiderate. The difference between those that achieve great success, and those that settle for less lies in courage. You cannot walk into the place God has ordained for you if you are not strong and courageous.

What God has prepared for you will not come by chance. The fact that there is a call of God on one’s life doesn’t mean that the person will be successful and fulfill destiny. After everything, you must be courageous.

In the above for example, Joshua was called by God to take over the leadership of the Israelites. He was the one God specially anointed and elected. God promised him that “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” *(Jos 1:5).

Notwithstanding, in order for all that God had said to him to come to pass, he needed to “be strong and very courageous” *(Jos 1:7). You need to be courageous. You must have enough courage to take certain bold steps, and make some bold decisions. Note that God did not ask Joshua to pray for courage. Courage is not something you pray for: it’s a step you take!

Overpower fear and timidity. Refuse to allow anything or anybody to intimidate you. Let it consume your consciousness that God is with you. And take courageous steps, knowing that they’ll NOT fail. Glory to God. Like Joshua, God is challenging you this morning to be strong and courageous. Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Father I thank you today for your word. I declare that I’m bold and courageous. I receive the grace to take courageous steps, triumphing in them to the glory of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
