FAITH IN HIS NAME
[[Act 3:16]] KJV And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
The name of Jesus is the only name above all other names. At the name of Jesus, every knee in heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows (Ph 2:10). That’s how powerful the name of Jesus is. It’s the only name given amongst men by which they shall be saved (Act 4:12).
In the above, a man who was born crippled from the mother’s womb leaped and walked when Peter and John commanded him to rise and walk! (Act 3:6-8). Think about it? This man’s over 40 years disability was instantly reversed at the name of Jesus!
Remember that Peter and John didn’t even pray. They knew and understood that power in the name. And they commanded the man to walk because they had faith in the name. Peter’s answer to the mesmerised onlookers was “through faith in his name has this man…given…perfect soundness.”
This same name is made available to us. Jesus actually gave us the right of attorney (the absolutely legal rights) to used His name. He told us: ” I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you” (Jh 16:23). Think about the blessed opportunity we have that we don’t even take advantage of? Rise today in faith, and use the name of Jesus, and see situations turn around to the glory of God. Hallelujah! Anything can be changed in the name of Jesus!
Prayer:
Dear LORD thank you for giving me the Holy name of Jesus. Thank you for granting me the right of attorney to use the name of the Prince of Life. Now in the name of Jesus, I declare that stubborn situations are turned around in my favour even now! Amen!
