A MIND FOR THE MINISTRY
[[Act 19:10]] KJV And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Apostle Paul is one man that brings joy to my heart: his understanding of the ministry was exceptional. He goes to a place to preach the gospel, then continues there for the space of two years, teaching the souls daily till they were fully established.
In fact, the Bible says all that were in Asia, heard the word of God. Think about it. Paul understood the Great Commission, and he executed it so well. And God wants us to emulate these things that is why they were written for us.
We must carry out our responsibilities in our ecclesias with same spirit. We must see ourselves as missionaries. We must be willing to go to a place and live there for months to see the work of God flourish and souls established in the faith.
Everyone in Asia heard the word when Paul stayed there for two years. This is how we can reach the entire world with the gospel. For instance, as you work in that office for a year, everyone in the office should be saved. This must be your way of thinking. Today, God is challenging you through His word to embrace the ministry and be willing to take steps to touch lives for the Master.
Prayer:
Dear LORD, I thank you for teaching me in your word about the ministry. I walk away from selfishness, and I take steps to touch lives with the gospel everywhere I find myself. I influence my world with the word of God in Jesus’ name.
