NOT COUNTING YOUR LIFE PRECIOUS

[[Act 20:24]] KJV But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul was determined to go to Jerusalem in order to keep the feast of pentecost, but the Holy Ghost had revealed to people in every city that some trouble will befall him (Acts 20:22-24). Paul’s response was that none of those things moved him, neither count his life dear to him.

Paul was able to accomplish great feats in the ministry and for the LORD because of this secret: he worked and kept pushing without counting his life dear to him. We are not able to do more for the LORD when we become mindful of our lives.

Recently, I was impressed to go to an Islamic country to hold crusade. Many pastors tried to persuade me not to go. They said that it was too risky and it could cost my life. Many are not able to go places for God because they count their lives dear to themselves. If had Jesus considered the risk, He wouldn’t have come to die for us.

We can’t have missionaries, plant churches, send pastors to places, expand the ministry, and do the will of God because our lives are precious to us. But we cannot preach Christ who emptied Himself when we are full of ourselves. The time has come to go all out regardless of the risk, and accomplish might deeds for the LORD. I see you give your very life for the LORD’S work. Glory to God!

Prayer:
Dear LORD, thank you for giving your life for me. I likewise give my life, not counting it dear to me that I may fulfill the ministry. I go all out. I hold nothing back. I joyfully fulfill your will for my life in Jesus’ name.
