ABOUT THE STRANGE WOMAN
[[Pro 6:26]] AKJV For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
In the above, the Bible warns us against the strange woman (or strange man). Her weapon is fornication. This is a word many of God’s people don’t want to talk about. It is deep rooted even in the church, and its effects are very devastating. Many lives and great gifts have been reduced to nothing because of their inability to tame themselves against the strange woman.
In the above, we are told that many men are reduced to pieces of bread by the strange woman. We are also told that the adulterous woman hunts for precious lives. This suggests that when you become a victim, its indicative that your life, ministry, dream and vision is precious. And that she seeks to terminate it.
This must be clearly understood especially by men. It’s not fun to go about ‘enjoying illicit sex:’ the preciousness of your life, ministry, family and destiny is targeted. No wonder the verse 32 says, “But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he that does it destroys his own soul” *(Pro 6:32).
To overcome the strange woman, you must open us yourself to the word of God. Proverbs 6 tells us to bind the word of God to our neck”…For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: To keep you from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman” *(Pro 6:23,24).
Become a lover of the word. Continually meditate on it. Don’t just hear the word, receive it and allow it to change you. For example, as God’s word cautions you about the strange woman, be opened to reproof and take practical steps to escape her traps and preserve your precious soul. Glory to God! You will escape her snares in Jesus’ name!
Prayer:
Father I thank you for enlightening me in your word. I pray that you help me escape the trap of strange women. Grant me grace that I may overcome and prevail against them in Jesus’ name.
