WALKING IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE
[[Rom 6:4]] KJV Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Here Paul shows us that as (the same process by which) Christ was raise from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so also (in the same manner) should walk in the newness of life. So note the process: Jesus died as our man of sin, and was raised from the dead as one the righteousness of God, with a new supernatural life.
In the same way, we were sinners but when we came to Christ, we died. The old sinful man died. And after salvation, we have been raise by the glory of the Father to a new supernatural recreated life. We are no more who we used to be. Glory to God!
Notice also that it was the glory of God that raised us to walk in the newness of life. The glory of the Father is the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead (Rom 8:11). So through the Holy Spirit we also are able to walk in the newness of life.
‘Newness’, kainotes, in Greek means, a new state of life. You are no more in your old state. Since you became a Christian, you must now walk in a new state of life. A life beyond death. A life full of power. A life of righteousness. A life that dominates Satan and sin. So from today, walk in this new state of life and have only victories by the Holy Ghost. Know that you are a different man.
Confessions:
I am a new man. I walk in a new state of life. I’m conscious of my supernatural life. I’m supernatural. I’m a victor. I’m full of power by the Holy Ghost in Jesus’ name.
