[[Joh 1:12,13]] KJV But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
*Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The above shows us what it means to be born of God. Immediately you received Jesus as Lord of your life, you were given the power to become a child of God. Now, you are a legitimate child of God. Three important things happen after being born again. The first is that YOU WERE BORN AGAIN NOT OF BLOOD. Leviticus 17:11 says, “…the life of the flesh is in the blood…” So it’s possible for the life and curses of a parent to come into a child through the bloodline. Many preachers have used this as a basis to teach that God’s people can inherit a generational curse. But our opening text makes it clear that immediately you are born again, you are disconnected from your bloodline. Hallelujah!
You’ve been born not of blood. Even DNA is supernaturally transfigured. You can’t inherit the curse of your ancestors through your bloodline because your new birth is without blood. Glory to God! No wonder Paul declared; “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh…” (2Co 5:16). No more flesh and blood connection. Glory!
The second thing is that you were born again, NOT OF THE WILL OF THE FLESH, NOR THE WILL OF MAN. In other words, man didn’t decide your arrival on earth. You are not the result of a man’s will nor flesh. Your parents might have told you that they weren’t planning for you, but that doesn’t change anything. You were on God’s mind. You are not an experiment or a mistake: you are a heavenly project. This is why you can not be terminated before your time because your termination will mean an abortion of a major heavenly project.
This must build faith and confidence in your heart. Know that your place can’t be replaced. Every ancestral and bloodline connection was broken the day you got saved. You are a new man with a new destiny, nature, and character in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! You are under the blessing. You are a heavenly man, and no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Glory!
Confession:
I’m a new man in Christ Jesus. I’m the heavenly man. I’m under the blessing and not the curse. I’ve a glorious destiny. Hallelujah! I’m free from all limitations in Jesus’ name.
