THE GREATER WITNESS WITHIN
[[Rom 8:16]] KJV The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Here is one important pointer to our salvation in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit dwelling in us is the sure witness of our salvation. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. It’s crucial for us to appreciate the fact that we are not children of God because we feel so or even because we worked for it. We have an inner witness.
Notice that the Bible said the Holy Spirit bears witness with our recreated human spirit. The witness is in our spirit. We know we are God’s children from within. This has nothing to do with whether or not we did something right. Our witness is not external: it’s internal. Glory!
What happens outwardly cannot destroy your inward witness. The witness of onlookers and the devil doesn’t feature in the assurance of our salvation. This is why it becomes imperative that you declare your independence to others opinion of you, and build your faith on your inner witness.
Even the witness of your feelings and emotions are irrelevant. There are times you may not feel saved, but you are because the Holy Ghost in you is the proof or witness. And He will never leave you nor forsake you even till the end of the ages. Glory to God! We have a greater witness within. Hallelujah!

Father I thank you for the witness of the Holy Spirit within. Thank you for obtaining for me an eternal redemption through Christ. I’m blessed. Live by an inner and greater witness. Glory to God!
