NEVER SEE DEATH

[[Joh 8:51]] KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Jesus is the manifestation of God’s supernatural life. In the book of John, it’s said concerning Jesus that “In Him was life; and the life is the light of men” *(John 1:4). The human life that natural men have is the result of God’s divine life shining on them.

Through the sin of Adam, death was passed to all men. Romans 5:17 puts it this way, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Through Jesus’ obedience however, death can be suspended. We can reign over death through life. Glory!

In our opening text, Jesus clearly declared that if any man KEEP His word, he shall not see death. To keep is ‘tereo’ in Greek which means to UNDERGO SOMETHING. To keep the word means to be born of the word: you undergo regeneration by the word. Then, you assume the exact nature of the word.

Since the word is incorruptible (cannot die), you too cannot die *(1Pe 1:23). Jesus through His death “destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” *(Hebrew 2:14). If the one who used death to kill people is destroyed, what can death do? Because death cannot kill by itself unless someone uses it.

If you are born again, you have undergone supernatural regeneration by the word of God. You have kept His word. You don’t have to do anything special to live death-free. You just have to believe the Master’s word.

Just as the sinner doesn’t have to do anything special to die because that is his ultimate destiny, you also do not need to do anything to life. Life is in you. Death has lost its grip over you. Defy death and life. That’s your ultimate destiny.

Confession:
I have supernatural life in me. I’ve passed from death to life. Life is in me. Am healthy and strong. There is no defects in me. Death cannot work in me. I walk in the God-life. Glory!
