USING KNOWLEDGE ARIGHT
[[Pro 15:2]] KJV The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Someone said, “Wisdom is the right application of knowledge,” and that has a lot of truth in it. Knowledge is powerful. But many times, we fail to use knowledge the right way to our advantage. Notice that in the above, the Bible said, “the tongue of the wise use knowledge aright.”
The amplified version of the Bible says, “The tongue of the wise utters knowledge rightly…” *(AMP). There are two important things to notice: 1. KNOWLEDGE MUST BE USED RIGHTLY. Knowing something is not good enough; how you use what you know is what matters.
I’ve met people who have said that Christianity has done nothing for them. Some even say that they’ve studied and studied the word, but the word of God has not done anything for them. The truth is that the word of God is not supposed to do anything for you. You must rather do something with the word. Having the knowledge of God’s word is not enough; you must use it rightly.
On the other hand, some also abuse the word. They use it wrongly. They pray the wrong prayers and speak the wrong words. It’s common these days to find believers praying against certain people they suspect to be against their progress to die in order for them to be free. This is word-abuse. In the first place, you are free in Christ. Secondly, killing people in the name of God under this dispensation of grace is not of God. We must use knowledge aright.
- WE USE KNOWLEDGE BY ENGAGING OUR TONGUE. The tongue of the wise utters knowledge rightly. King James Version says, “The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright.” The word “use” is replaced by “utter.” In other words, you USE the knowledge of God’s word by UTTERING them with your tongue.
God gave us His word for us to use it for our advantage. So use the word rightly. Your mouth is a missile launcher. So stop launching missiles in the wrong direction. Speak the right words and speak them rightly. God, through His word today, is training you for reigning. Rule with the word.
Confession:
Am on top of my world. Am the head and not the tail. I am an overcomer. I win always. Nothing can impede me. I function by the ability of the Holy Ghost. Am a force. Am a blessing to my generation. My marriage is a success. Everything about me is glorious. Am going forward. Am making progress. I am breaking forth on every side in Jesus’ name. Glory!!!
