CONSECRATION

[[Dan 1:8]] KJV But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Welcome to a new year. This is our year of DELIBERATE CHANGE. And consecration is key for change. Consecration means separation for divine use. To be consecrated means that you are set apart for God.

This is the year that God’s people will live by a miracle. It will take the supernatural for men to survive. In spite of the challenges and the difficulties that will prevail in all areas, the LORD knows them that are His, and heaven shall keep her own. This year, you must determine to make certain deliberate changes that sustain consecration.

To be established for the blessing, we must be consecrated. Consecration is not pursuing holiness or righteousness. As a child of God, you are already holy and righteous. Consecration, therefore, means that you are going take the intentional steps of separating yourself from the wrong habits, wrong friends, and wrong relationships that contradict the divine life of the Holy Ghost that we have received. God will do amazing things this year, but like Daniel, we MUST PURPOSE IN OUR HEARTS NOT TO DEFY OURSELVES. Purpose to live differently this year. The temptations that overpowered you last year must not prevail over you this year.

Purpose to be useful in the hands of Almighty God. Don’t let the wrong friends and habits or relationship impede you of this heavenly bliss. Daniel purposed in his heart. You must also take some intentional steps. Be consecrated and stay consecrated.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your word. I love you, Lord, and I take the intentional step to disassembly from the wrong habits and people that will impede my walk with you this year. I choose the way of consecration in Jesus’s name. Amen
