FAITH THAT MAKES FAVOURITES
[[Joh 10:17]] KJV Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
Jesus is deeply loved by God. During His baptism, God confirmed His unqualified love for Him. He announced from heaven; “…This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” *(Matt 3:17). In our main text above, Jesus shows us why He was the Father’s favourite. The secret was that He laid down His life.
Many don’t know that God has favourites. God generally loves all of us, but there are those He specially adore. One of such is Jesus. Jesus was willing and ready to die for what He believed. This attitude moves the Father. You excite the deepest parts of El-shadai when you demonstrate great faith. You see, what you are not willing to die for, you don’t believe. Jesus was willing to lay down His life because He believed God would raise He up again.
Move to the next level in your faith walk: be willing to die for what you believe. When it comes to faith, put your life on the line. Throughout the scriptures, people who were willing to lose their lives never lost it; they rather gained it. Jesus said, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it” *(Matt 16:25). Glory to God! This is how to become God’s favourite; when you are willing to lose everything for His sake. Hallelujah!

Father, I give myself away for your use. I’m completely sold out to you, Lord. I make a quality decision to trust you with my life in every way. Do as you please with me.
