FAITHFULNESS UNTO DEATH
[[Rev 2:10]] KJV Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Jesus, in His letter to the seven churches of Asia minor, He wrote also to the church that was in Smyrna. This is the only church that was not rebuked. Jesus had nothing against the church. The main reason was because they were heavenly conscious. It is important that we understand that God leaves no generation without a remnant. There are those who still stand pure before Almigty God today.
Elijah, in his arrogance, thought he was the only one who stood for God. He contended that he was the only prophet who had not bowed his knee to Baal. What he didn’t know is that there were seven thousand more hidden who were pure before the LORD (1Ki 19:14-18). There are still true men of God in our generation. There are holy men still among us. There are still those who have not bowed their soul to vanity.
In the midst of all that is happening in the church today, while many have given up on the Morden day church, because of her many faults, I want to emphasis that man’s extremity is God’s opportunity. Out of this same generation, God’s greatest move will be birthed. The stone that the builders rejected shall be the campion conner stone. Let’s brace ourselves for the incredible!
Jesus commended the church of Smyrna and said, “… be thou faithful unto death, and I shall give you the crown of life.” God is looking for men who will be faithful even unto death. Men who are sold out. Men who are willing to die for what they believe. Man of God, be faithful to the end. Child of God, don’t quit. Don’t give up. Don’t throw in the towel. Be faithful to the end. And God will give you the crown of life.
Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your word today. I yield myself to you and your word. I refuse to bow to the status quote. Help me seek only you. Let me not wonder away from your plan and purposes for my life. Help me to be faithful even unto death in Jesus’ name.
