WATCH YOUR COMPANY

[[1Co 5:9]] KJV I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

Paul warned believers not to company with fornicators. First of all, we must understand that this book was written to Christians in Corinth. There, Paul was warning believers that it is wrong to be found in the company of those who commit fornication.

Secondly, Paul didn’t say the believers are fornicating, but that they are found in the company of those who do. It’s not right to be a believers who is always in the company of friends who don’t go to church. Who are your friends?

You must not think that you cannot be influenced. Also, wrong habits and acts are infectious. Being in certain company will eventually make you walk on the same path. This is why you must watch who you call friends.

Many Christians are in this category. Almost all their friends or best friends are unbelievers. When you look closely, you will find that they also practice their wrong doings. You cannot live the Christian life effectively when you are always found among certain company. God is calling you to watch your company. And walk away from certain companies.

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for helping me to see through your word. I receive the boldness and wisdom to walk away from the wrong company. Help me not to keep the wrong company.
