THE POWER OF YOUR WILL

[[Joh 5:6]] KJV When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Jesus has a conversation with a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. The above says, “When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole” Jesus knew that he had been sick for many years, but yet, asked him if he’d like to be made well.

Two things are striking here: 1. Many times, when people suffer a condition for a long time, they accept it as fate. The longevity of a condition is not validation. No matter how long any problem stays with you, never accept it. Solution is possible!

  1. Jesus said to the man, “…will you be made whole?” Some versions say, ‘Do you desire to be whole?’ ‘Is it your wish to be cured?’ This suggests strongly that our will and desire determines the outcome of our conditions and not fate!

How strong is your desire to see changes in your life? Do you have the will to see a difference in your situation? Your will is a power. God’s power cannot work againt your will. God needs your will to manifest His plans and purposes on your life. This is the reason why Jesus will ask the man, will that I make you whole? God’s power can not work where our will does not agree.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that your grace abounds to me today. Lord, I set my will in sync with your plans and purposes, and I declare that by will, I walk into all that God has destined me to have in Jesus’ name.
