THE WORD AND WORRYING
*[[Mark 4:19]] AMP. *Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age…creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
In the above, Jesus explains why the seed of God’s word couldn’t produce results after the sower sowed the word. Jesus explains that the seed was suffocated by anxiety and the cares of the world. Anxiety is an unpleasant state of mental uneasiness, nervousness, apprehension, and obsession or concern about some uncertain events.
Anxious people are usually worried about things that do not even exit. It’s proven statistically that 80% of the things people fear do not even exit. It’s called fear of the unknown. Satan seeks to stop God’s word from bearing fruits in you. He knows that when the word begins to dominate your mind and produce results in you, nothing can stop you again.
There may be things and situations that will come to you to make you worried. There’ll be things to care about. But you are not supposed to carry your cares and burdens. Many have broken down under pressure because they carried their cares and burdens. They get worried about their finances, family, marriage, and debtors. The list is endless.
Jesus warns us not to carry our burdens and cares. The word says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” *(1Pet5:7). You must make a quality decision to look away from your cares and worries. Refuse to recognize them. Don’t even think about them. The bible tells us what to think about. Check the list:
[[Phi 4:8]] KJV Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Jesus said by worrying you can’t even add one cubic to your height (Mat 6:27). This means your worries are unimportant. Heart attack, cancer, diabetes, and the like are things that come along with excessive worrying. I DECLARE THAT EVERY CARE IS TAKEN CARE OF BY JESUS. So live free.
Today, believe that God is in charge of your life. If He takes care of the lillie in the valley and the sparrows, know that you’re worth more than all the sparrows put together. Believe the word. Cease from worrying, and let the word produce results in you. It’s working right now! Only believe!
Confession:
My mind is set on God. I think the right thought. I declare that all my cares are carried away by Christ on the cross. All things work together for my good. Am blessed. Am not stressed. Am favoured. I declare that evil can never come near me. Glory!
