THE POWER TO PARALYZE EVIL
[[Pro 14:19]] KJV The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
Evil can never triumph over good. This is why there is no need for revenge when others hurt and offend us. Paul admonished us to “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” *(Rom 12:21).
We must overpower evil by doing good and not paying evil for evil. The reason is that evil will always bow before good. The New English Translation of the Bible puts it this way: “Those who are evil will bow before those who are good, and the wicked will bow at the gates of the righteous” *(NET).
The big thing in the above scripture is the fact that the wicked bows at the gate of the righteous. The gate of the righteous signifies his or her mouth (Pro 24:7). And when the Bible says the wicked will bow at the gate of the righteous, it means that diabolical intentions of the devil grinds to a stop when the righteous man opens his mouth to speak.
Friend, your mouth is your gate. The gate is the place of access. Things go in and out of your life through your gate – your mouth. This explains why Jesus said what comes out of the mouth defiles a man.
[[Mat 15:11]] KJV Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
If the devil was running towards you to do evil to you, immediately you open your mouth to speak faith-filled words, it cripples him, and he bows right before your gate! Evil can never enter your life if we speak the right words all the time. You have the power to paralyze evil.
Today, paralyze evil intentions by opening your mouth to speak good things. No matter the forces of darkness that are trying to come up against you, they can fall flat before your face by your words. The Bible says, “They will stumble and fall” *(Psa 27:3). Glory!
Right now, open your mouth and speak forth words of power and paralyze every attempt of the dark world through your words. The power is in your mouth. Speak forth!
